Boomi API Management

What is API Management?

API Management in short for APIM refers to the process of building, publishing, and managing an API in a secured environment. It provides tools to manage and maintain APIs and visibility on their status and usage. It allows organizations to securely deliver services both internally and externally.

Nowadays, organizations are adopting API-based solutions for most of their integration needs thus making API Management vital for managing all APIs under one roof.

Boomi’s Advanced API Management:

Boomi offers advanced capabilities to securely manage and maintain APIs that are developed using the Atomsphere platform. APIM capabilities offered by Boomi:

  • Design and development
  • Deployment
  • Security
  • Traffic control
  • Performance and Scalability
  • Monitor Usage

The above APIM capabilities along with some additional functionalities like Proxying, Developer portal, and Gateway management makes up the full API lifecycle in Boomi.

Gateway management provides advanced security features for deployed APIs. It provides additional capabilities for managing the installed gateway. Some of the supported authentications include

  • Basic Authentication using Gateway
  • Authentication using JWT on SPI Gateway
