Boomi Atom Management

What is Boomi Atom?

The Boomi Atom is a lightweight, dynamic runtime engine. After you deploy integration processes, the atom contains all the components required to run your processes from end to end, including connectors, transformation rules, decision handling, and processing logic.

What is Atom Management?

Managing a Boomi atom is done through the Atom Management page available under the manage section of Boomi UI. Using Atom Management, you can review and modify the properties and settings for Atoms, Molecules, and environments.

Atom Management – Configurations:

  • Atom Information: Monitor the atom status, environment classification, owner, hostname, and version. Also, you can attach/detach the atom from an environment.
  • Log Files: Download the shared server logs and AS2 artifacts.
  • Java Information: This section provides information related to the Current Java Version, Java virtual machine Name, Java Vendor, and Java Home directory. It also allows you to update the Java version manually or you can select the auto-update button which allows you to Set a schedule to automatically update your Atom when a new Java version is available.
  • Processes: Review the deployed processes, and stop, add, edit, or resume deployed process schedules.
  • Certificates: Review information about deployed certificates, including certificates that have expired or are about to expire.
  • Listeners: Review the status of listeners and, if needed, pause, resume, or restart all or selected listeners.
  • Atom Workers: Check the status of Cloud’s Atom workers and stop an Atom worker on the Atom Workers panel.
  • Installed Libraries: Review a list of installed JAR files and their status
  • Extensions: Review the extensions, and, if needed, edit the extensions so that the same components can be used in multiple environments.
  • Atom and Connector version: This panel lets you view the current, new, and rollback versions of the selected Atom, Atom Molecule, or Atom Cloud, and the versions of each connector that uses the Atom.
  • Runtime Release Scheduling: The Runtime Release Scheduling panel allows you to set a schedule for automatically receiving Runtime Release updates. Setting a schedule allows you to select a time when it will be convenient to receive the updates to this Atom.
