Boomi Charges

What is Boomi?

Boomi is a cloud-based integration tool that helps you connect different applications and allows them to send and receive data. Applications can be on the cloud or on-premise, boomi enables you to fetch data from an application, do the required data transformations using multiple options available in Boomi, and send the data to the target application.

How does Boomi work?

In Boomi, you need to create an Integration Process within which you will connect to the source and target application and do the required transformations before processing the data.

Once an Integration Process is created you need to deploy the Process to an Atom/Molecule. Boomi Atoms/ Molecules are nothing, but the run time agents installed on a server where your Integration process will execute. You can install Atoms either on your servers (On-Prem/ Cloud) or the Boomi Atom cloud hosted on Boomi’s Server.

Once the integration is deployed to an Atom/Molecule you can execute your process to move the data to and from.

The first question in mind while selecting any integration tool is – “How much will it cost”.

Here’s how Boomi charges its customers:

  • The number of licenses: Boomi primarily charges its customers based on the number of licenses you need for your account.
  • Atom workers: If you use a Boomi atom cloud and have multiple Real Time integrations, Atom workers help process integrations faster.
  • Multi-Processing: If you have batch integrations with scripting & transformation logic and dealing with huge volumes, Boomi provides Parallel Processing options to boost performance.
  • Security: Accounts and Data are very important in any tool/application. Boomi provides a basic username/password authentication for all users but charges separately for facilities like enabling 2FA and creating Custom Roles which might be needed for setting Developer/Admin/Ready Only Accesses.
  • Boomi doesn’t charge separately for atoms/molecules that you use in your account.
