Magento Connector
Before we explore the Magento connector – One of the many application connectors provided by Boomi, we should know what it is.
What is Magento?
Magento is an open-source e-commerce website platform owned by Adobe that helps build websites for businesses and makes them highly available and scalable.
Coming back to Magento Connector, as already mentioned, it’s an application connector provided by Boomi to connect to and exchange data from the Magento store. The Magento connector makes it easy to work with the Magento eCommerce website software by simplifying the interaction and adding convenience. Using this connector, you can directly connect with the Magento Store and GET, CREATE, UPSERT, QUERY, and DELETE data stored in the Magento store.
Like every other connector in Boomi, Magento Connector also requires the Magento Connection and Magento Operation components to connect to the Magento webiste.
Magento Connection:
Stores the essential details required for establishing the Boomi- Magento connectivity.
- Name: One can set the desired name for the connection in this field.
- Store Base URL: This field is used to store the base URL for the Magento store
- Username: Stores the Magento account username
- Password: Stores the Magento account password
- User Type: The Magento user type to authenticate with the store.
Magento Operation:
Defines the action that needs to be performed on a specific Magento object using the Magento Connection.
- Name: One can set the desired operation name in this field.
- Object: The Magento Object against which you want to perform the said action.
- Request Profile: Defines the schema/structure of the request sent to the Magento platform.
- Response Profile: Defines the schema/structure of the response received by the Magento platform.
- Tracking Direction: This enables you to choose whether to track the input or output document and display the same in process reporting.
- Error Behavior: Helps store the error response received from the Magento Website.
