Boomi Set Properties Shape

What is the Set Properties shape?

Set properties shape is one of the important shapes which is used to set the value of properties like below:

  1. Document Property
  2. Process Property
  3. Dynamic Document Property
  4. Dynamic Process Property
  5. Mime Property

Set properties shape basically contains below two sections:

  1. Property to set: This is where you need to select the property from the drop-down list as required. It’s like defining the variable.
  1. Parameter to the property: This is where you need to pass the parameter which is the value of the property. In simple words here you need to pass the value to the variable which you defined earlier.

Let’s discuss each property in detail

Document Property:

Document Property is a type of property in which Boomi provided us so many connector properties like Filename, remote directory, move to the directory for SFTP, Disk, FTP connectors, and similarly Body, Filename, subject, from address, to address for Mail connector, etc.

Process Property:

Process property is a component in which you can define multiple properties

and types of values accepted, a default value of the property, and enable persist. These can be extensible so that you can modify them directly from the atom management.

Dynamic Document Property:

Dynamic document properties are used to store any field value of the profile and used to retrieve them later within the same branch. These are not extensible.

Dynamic Process Property:

Dynamic process properties are used to store any value that is static or dynamic data from any profile field and can be retrieved later anywhere throughout the process. These are persistable so that can store and get the value in the subsequent execution. These are also extensible so that you can change the default value through atom management.

Types of Parameters:

You can pass parameters like current data, document cache lookup, Static value, Date/Time, etc.

Check the image below to see the different types of parameters that are available as parameter value types.
