AppExchange is a platform where you can download and install applications in Salesforce. The apps can be published by Salesforce or Third-Party companies as well.

When you need to install an application on your Android device, you go to “PlayStore.” Similarly, when you need to install an application on you Apple device, you go to the “AppStore.” Salesforce AppExchange works the same way!

 

How to Locate AppExchange

There are a couple of ways to access AppExchange:

• Click on App Launcher > All Apps > Visit AppExchange.
• Here, you will see the list of all available applications.

OR

• Go to https://appexchange.salesforce.com

How to Download Apps from AppExchange

In order to download and install apps from AppExchange, a user should be a Salesforce Admin and have the “Download AppExchange Packages” permission.

However, if a user wants to upload or publish an app on AppExchange, then the user needs the “Create AppExchange Packages and Upload AppExchange Packages” permission.
