NetSuite OpenAir – OData Reports

NetSuite OpenAir:

OpenAir is a product of NetSuite which is widely used as a Professional Services Automation software that provides services to customers by providing services such as project management, Timesheet management, Expense management, Resource management, Project Budgeting, Reporting & Dashboards, etc. Among all these services with the help of Boomi-provided Out of the Box (OOTB) NetSuite OpenAir, we can connect to OpenAir and integrate data related to these services by connecting to its object in form of XML data. The only limitation with the OOTB NetSuite OpenAir connector is that it does not allow us to integrate with the reports published as OData feed in OpenAir. To overcome this, we need to use ODATA Client Connector and import the required OData report in Boomi. Let’s see about the configuration in detail below.

OData Client Connection:

In this OData client connection component, you need to pass the values related to the connection establishment such as Service Root URL, OData Version, OData format, Authentication type, Username, and Password with the OpenAir in the respective tabs defined default by Boomi in the connection component.

Once you defined all these values in their tabs, click on save and test the connection if it returns the test connection successful then click on save and close or else re-check the details/values passed above and re-enter and save.

OData Client Operation:

Before doing this, you need to get the report ID of the OData report which are willing to pull from OpenAir from the OpenAir team. Make sure to publish the report only by logging in as the same user that you are using in the Boomi OData Client connector connection component.  Once you imported the profile a new JSON profile will be auto generated which you need to use in your process shapes further based on your requirement. This is how you can integrate OData reports data from/to the NetSuite OpenAir.
